My Stay in London

The advantage of being a wife of a software professional is you get opportunity to visit foreign countries if you are a house wife. I too got such an opportunity to visit and live in London, capital of United Kingdom.

London is the hub and serves as a Gateway to all the European countries. Its really a nice and lovely place to live in.

When I came first came to London with my daughter almost two years back, I was not that impressed in the first instance. Probably due to the weather conditions which makes a complete different in lifestyle from the way we live in India.

We cannot go out like we go in South India. Here you will have to prepare yourself / cover yourself with all warm clothes even if you want to bin the garbage.

You cannot see any roadside tea shops where people gather and talk world politics, a place where we can get all world news with opinions and debates. Nor you can sit near the windows and watch people on the road side. Thought these might be simple things but I am sure I miss all these pretty happiness.

More over I miss all my family members and had to find something to keep myself busy. Life here looks more mechanical where everyone longs for a Friday and hates Mondays. But the days in between are the fastest moving days. You might feel its Sunday night but next moment my husband will crib O my God, I have to work tomorrow as its Monday.

The good thing is I really liked the seasonal changes. You can feel and see every single season changing especially summer here is a lovely season .The Government has many schemes and aids and supports old and orphaned which is not that vigorous in our country.

Children have more freedom than in our country. I guess they don't have to carry the 5Kg Bag to their school and its more practical than theoretical.

A lovely and a costlier place to live…

When I was Travelling......

This was small incident that I heard from my friend, when we were travelling to my home town.

Thought I can share that here…

This is about a cute girl born in a small town in Tamilnadu. She had two elder brothers. There is a huge age difference between herself and her brothers.

This is where problem started. Her eldest brother had to work in a different place from where she lives and hence visited her over the weekends. Her second elder brother is 7yrs older than her, don’t ask me her how old is her first brother. Because of this age difference she was not able to play with them like any other sister with their brothers and it was almost like a lonely child in the house of elders.

The only way for her to spend her time is reading books and her family is slightly restriction visiting places or friends houses.

She thought perhaps, this will come to an end when she gets sister-in-laws to play and share her emotions with them. Of course with an expectation they will be slightly elder to her.

But you know, nothing works as per expectations and its always the unexpected.

Both her sister-in-laws had their own characteristics and the chemistry between all these three women did not work fine. They turned out to be smart daughter-in-laws.

What can she do, other than to cry. She brought courage in herself and continued to live this life in the cocoon. At last her prayers were answered through marriage.

Not sure if this girl was luck because she got brothers who took care of her as a princess of their fort or unlucky because she got too elder brothers because of which she was not able to enjoy the childhood days with them?

All I understood from this story was that
* Don't have just single child in your life
* Do not leave too much gap between two children
